About Me

Welcome to Counselling and Psychotherapy Toronto

Hello! My name is Cathy O'Toole and I am a Registered clinical Social Worker specializing in adolescent, families and adults who are experiencing distress in various areas of their lives. Having 30 years experience in the mental health field, I have worked extensively with adolescents, families and adults with depression, anxiety, relationship problems and poor coping skills. I most recently worked at the Centre for Addiction and Mental health (CAMH) providing clinical services to adults living with mental illness. My experience also includes working with adults in crisis after personal or community traumas, including 9/11.

I hold a Master of Social Work Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in combination with postgraduate

training in Self Psychology from the Institute for the Advancement of Self Psychology in Toronto. In addition, I am certified to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and have training both in Trauma (PTSD) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). I am a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
